I am so excited to offer this gorgeous hand embroidery pattern and kit based on the illustration by the amazing Meni Chazipanagiotou. The design features a stunning mermaid, breaching out of a giant sea shell under a crescent moon. Translating this artwork into hand embroidery was such a relaxing treat for me. I played with soft color gradients with touches of metallic floss. Only three stitches are used in the pattern but I would not suggest it for beginners unless you are ready to learn long and short stitch. This is my most time consuming embroidery pattern so please give yourself the space to go slow and really enjoy the process.
Your kit includes:
White cotton fabric, pre-printed with the design
15 skeins of Lecien Cosmo six stranded cotton embroidery floss
Two spools of metallic embroidery floss from Cosmo (Shabon-dama and Nishikiito)
Two size 9 embroidery needles (John James)
One 9 inch wooden embroidery hoop (although you may want to use a smaller hoop with better tension for stitching, and save this larger hoop for framing)
The embroidery pattern directions and beginner's guide (digital and/or hard copies)
